What people have to say:

Clare was employed by the BBC to choreograph BBC Generation Strictly – a dance project and event encouraging different age groups to get involved in dance. She also choreographed and organised a Flashmob for Children In Need. From start to end of the project she was an absolute joy to work with. Totally professional – but relaxed and friendly with staff and members of the public. She came up with lots of ideas and was superbly organised – hitting every deadline and target and exceeding all our expectations. Clare really threw herself heart and soul into the role. The success of the project was largely down to her enthusiasm and passion.

    Dear Clare,

The girls were truly fab - and that is all down to your fantastic work. Your professionalism, warmth and discipline exactly matched the needs of both the project and the girls. The level of respect they gave you was better than I've seen with some teachers! I thank you from all quarters of my heart and mind for making them become even more inspired.

Clare was the reason I fell in love with contemporary dance and decided that I wanted to make it my career. Her teaching style meant I was constantly growing as a dancer both technically and as a performer. Her creative choreography meant Reflex got to perform in front of thousands of people in many different venues which really sparked my love of performing.

"Clare was one of the 6 dance artists that i commissioned as part of the Cultural Olympiad project that i managed and produced in Staffordshire.

During that time Clare proved to be a real asset to the project always going way above and beyond what was expected of her. Exceptionally creative, brilliantly professional and amazingly knowledgeable as a dance artist, her commitment and energy resulted in her delivering a number of projects that not only proved inspirational to those working with her but far exceeded all expectations".

I was lucky enough to meet Clare on a Summer School at DanceXchange, Birmingham. Her passion for dance and performance is contagious and her teaching is what drew me to Reflex Youth Dance. Thanks to her energy and drive, the company developed a strong work ethic, choreographic skills and the confidence to perform in a wide variety of spaces.

Clare later established JECL Dance - a new initiative to bridge the gap between youth dance training and a professional dance career. This gave 5 young dancers unique opportunities to collaborate with industry professionals, support in applying for vocational training and the chance to work creatively as a close-knit company.

In working with us during our vocational studies, Clare created a professional setting in which to apply our learning and shared with us extensive industry knowledge on funding applications and sustaining a freelance career, whilst developing our performance experience.

Clare is a friendly, driven and innovative artist who I would recommend most highly.
