In September 2015 saw the start of a fantastic new project 'Generation Strictly'.
Working in collaboration with BBC Radio WM, Clare took on the role of Choreographer and Director.
The project itself had 3 parts:
1- To bring together 10 volunteers from acorss the West Midlands from the ages of 14-72. Creating 5 generation striclty couples who would then embark on a journey over 2 months, each creating a duet combining thier dance styles and radio interviews of thier lives and the process of the project.
2- To create a flashmob to be performed in Grand Central Station, Birmingham, on the day of Children in Need. The flashmob was made up of 3 different schools from across Birmingham, which invlolved Clare teaching them all 'The Strictly' which was created from BBC 1's Strictly Come Dancing.
3- A large performance evening at the Tower Ballroom on the 3rd December 2015. Bringing all 5 Generation Strictly couples together, a specially choreographed routine performed by the presenters of Radio WM, and performances from various dance schools, community groups, and professional performance company Rubix Dance and Productions.
The evening saw a culmination of the various elements of the project come under one roof as the whole evening was stage managed by Clare herself. An fastastic and rewarding project to work on all round!
